This little enameled teapot is about three inches high.
When I bought it a few years ago,
I really spent some time debating
whether or not I should spend the money (about $25)
on something that was not useful.
What was I thinking!
I've gotten so much pleasure out of this very small indulgence.
And it follows a quote that I have since read by William Morris:

Have nothing in your houses that
you do not know to be useful
or believe to be beautiful.
Which means I really need to get rid of the stacks of paper in my study.
So pretty! I'm coveting from afar.
